The game is complete crap now! New owner equals garbage. He took a fantastic game and effectively ran it to the ground in less than 6 moths. Lets the place be run by a click of crazy women who will only allow the posting they like or approve of on any of the forums. You don't even have to break the rules per say, but if they think your tone is off you will be banned. No new content, no more quests, just garbage all around.

I rated it before I stopped playing, and saw no need to change my rating since my reason for stopping had nothing to do with the game itself.

I wouldn't know anything about this. I stopped playing most Facebook games awhile ago, this one included. This blog post was made in the very early days of the game, even before the wiki was started. In fact, the material here was the basis of the first version of the wiki when Keith asked my permission to use it (which I gave).

This game used to be the best on Facebook but an ownerl (relatively new) who doesnt seem to care what his players think and TO's (Town Officials) who moderate the forums in a dictatorial manner have caused thousands to leave the game. They will delete any post that doesnt positively promote the game and ban players who dare to voice their opinions if those opinions are in any way critical of the owner or the game.

I can tell you why you can no longer enter the game: It got sold to another developer and he moved the game away from Facebook...to start a fascist regime. The game it is no longer the magical place it was. No new quests, only recycled contend and voluntary helpers that are rude and erase everything they don't like from posts (and ban you for no reason). It used to be enchanted. Now it's just boring and nasty and no longer worth the effort of even logging in!

I really can't answer that since I have stopped playing and I don't have Win7. I would recommend trying a different browser or asking on the official help forum for the game.

I've just got a new laptop, and I can no longer get on to (or when I rarely can, it won't stay on for more than a cast or two). I have have windows 7 on this new laptop, where as before I had XP... do you think this would make a difference?

I must say i have been playing this game for some time now an all the new quests are getting better even though there is still yet more work needed to help remember some things that are mechend like a record off this your trying for ....like right now im working on 3 quests at once3 an lucky to remeber all that was needed to get one of them done.....Im just hopeing ya all like the game anyway for it is very fun and all comments are surly looked at even so for thos that have not started this game what ya waiting for :) hope to see more players soon

You sound fun. However, I played a bit. To me, Enchanted Island is a extremely boring and dull game. There is no live action. Everything is not movable and remains in the same spot. Their UI definitely needs a lot of improvement They need to do animations too. And there are limited quests. Thus, they have to do more mind-digging to develop more stories attached to the quests. A few people I know have already left the game because of no more new quests available. Keep doing 2 spells at every 15 minutes for level-up is a boring event.

@Jallarial - I really haven't had the time to continue it, but I do plan on it when things aren't so hectic.

I'll add a note and link to the forum...and the wiki (since Keith thought it was a great idea to put many hands to work on it, rather than me trying to keep up with it all on my own, here).

Loved your description of the game. I am a regular player and have fallen in love with it. You should mention the forums; the players are very friendly and helpful. They would explain the updates to anyone who wants to know.

@Anonymous - I am beginning to get the impression that keeping this post updated and current might not be such a good idea, since it is changing and growing, weekly.

At the rate the game is growing and adding new quests, I'd need to build a whole website devoted to it within the next 3 months.

I am playing this game and this was really helpful to read specially with the bit with getting gloves. The only thing is that the game is changing quickly so everything is getting out of date quickly I guess. I must say it is a good game and everyone should give it a try.

@Sire - It is a brief guide, considering I haven't done all the quests and finished all the levels.

Don't worry about this one taking over your life. You can't keep continuously playing it like other games. You have to find something else to do for the time you are waiting till you can cast spells. It's more likely you would forget to play it when your 15 minutes are up, which is why so many players are now using my little timer application to remind them to play.

@storybeader - It really doesn't take much time at all to play. It's less than a minute of your time, every 15 minutes, at most.

This is one of those games that you keep open in a tab of your browser and just keep going back, in between other things you are doing.

I actually have a timer running to remind me to play.

I'll be working on something, timer goes off, I pause to take a 30 second game break, then go back to working.

It's the perfect microbreak activity, and something that in the long run can actually make you more productive by giving your brain a mini break, a little change of scenery to boost your energy, alertness, and ability to focus. And it definitely can make tedious boring tasks easier to tolerate.
